Ayşe Ülkü Yalaz

Ülkü Yalaz graduated from Bilkent University Faculty of Law in 2006 and joined Istanbul Bar Association in 2007. She has a master’s degree in Information Technology Law from Istanbul Bilgi University.
Prior to joining NAZALI as Corporate Law and M&A partner, she worked as a counsel in a leading law firm in Turkey and played an active role in the executive team.
Yalaz supports her clients in all phases of preparation, signature, closing and implementation processes of domestic and international transactions and contracts concerning company law and commercial law, including mergers and acquisitions and actively participates in the planning and implementation of investment processes from the first investment to closing. Areas she mainly works under corporate and commercial law are mergers and acquisitions, information and technology law, and growth finance.
Yalaz represents her international and local clients as a buyer and a seller attorney in mergers and acquisitions. Recently, she has been representing her clients in venture capital funds, creation of funds, and in capital financing transactions. In this context, she actively takes part in the planning and implementation of investment and exit strategies and provides consultancy services for venture capital funds and angel investors in all phases of investments from founding capital to growth capital. In addition, she participates in events, competitions, and workshops as a jury member, mentor, and speaker in support of the development of the ecosystem.
Yalaz has been providing consultancy to her clients in the field of personal data protection law for more than five years and works on planning and execution of personal data protection compliance projects from start to finish, preparation of compliance documents, providing consultancy and auditing services in the following process in the field of personal data protection, planning and providing internal and external trainings in this field, process design, and maintaining communication with relevant authorities and relevant persons.
She also closely follows emerging technologies such as electronic commerce, block-chain, internet of things and artificial intelligence, and provides consultancy services to her clients in all matters concerning information and technology law.
